Children are always welcome at all our services and facilities are provided for them. We have childrens groups as listed below, and we also hold various events and services for children and teenagers throughout the year. Check out the events page for further details.
Little Friends, Baby & Toddler Group
A chance for Mums, Dads, Grandparents or Guardians to meet informally, relax and have a tea/coffee whilst their little ones play and make new friends.
Takes place on the first and Third Thursday of every month
All Saints' Church 1:30 - 3.00pm

A time for children and families to gather together and explore God's world outside. A time to wander and to wonder, and to engage with God through nature, in a fun way.
This occurs monthly at St Cuthbert's Church Ackworth. The next meeting is Saturday 22nd April 10:30am.

Service of Thanksgiving
Do you want to celebrate the birth of your new baby in a different way? Have you adopted a child and want to celebrate?
The Church of England offers children and their families a Thanksgiving service. It's different from a christening, and doesn't involve godparents or making a public commitment to God. It just gives you and your family the chance to come into church and give thanks for a new life.
You might choose this service when your baby is just born, or if you have adopted a child into your family and you simply want to celebrate with special words said by a vicar in church.
And having a Thanksgiving service doesn't mean you can't be baptised later, if you decide that's what you want.
